Design
From the visuals alone, the Purge Ally is already top-notch. If you line it up with the other mods in your collection, chances are, it’ll catch your eye right away.
The main decorative element would be the magnetic panels on either side. Made of resin, these feature swirling patterns in different colours. The panels are interchangeable, so when you purchase a second model, you can swap panels for both. Not just stock prints, these panels were carefully designed by international artists.
What are the different designs available?
Currently, there are three versions of the Purge Ally that you can choose from, which only differ in their look and design: Suicide King plays on stark contrast, pairing a black body with red-and-black panels.
- Stainless Steel is for the minimalists since it combines a simple light grey body and panels in white and dark grey.
- For a more colourful mod, Heat Treated has a rainbow-like appearance, with colours like purple, green, and blue blending into each other.

Build
The Purge Ally’s build is well-made and durable. It’s somewhat bigger and heavier than regular pod devices because of all the extra features. Still, it’s comfortable to hold, and there’s a solid feel to it.
The device structure is patterned similarly to a Zippo lighter. You have to flip open the top to reveal the detachable pod inside, so both the pod and the mouthpiece are well-covered. This makes the device more hygienic since the pod is protected from dirt and dust. The Zippo lighter build also feels familiar for many vapers, who tend to be previous or current smokers, so it’s easy to figure out how to use it.
Pods
Purge Ally pods must be purchased separately from the kit. You’ll notice that the pods are refillable and transparent, with the mesh coils visible from the outside and a replaceable drip tip. The pods are made of polycarbonate plastic. All in all, each pod can hold around 2 mL of e-liquid.
How do I refill the pod with e-liquid?
Removing and putting the pod back into the device takes only a few seconds. On the side of the pod, there’s a large fill port. To refill the pod, just insert the tip of the e-liquid bottle here and let the e-liquid pour in. You can then return the pod into the device, closing the top cover back down. Because the top cover is attached through both a latch and a magnet, you’ll hear a click once it closes properly.
Airflow
The Purge Ally has a unique airflow system that can handle both mouth-to-lung and direct-to-lung vaping. To adjust the airflow, simply turn the drip tip. There are two settings available for MTL and DTL, so you can change the airflow from tight to airy. Even when you’re vaping with your mouth on the drip tip, there’s enough space for you to turn it comfortably so you can get instant feedback on the airflow.
Most pod devices don’t have this. Although the airflow isn’t as flexible as with RDAs and RTAs, the Purge Ally still has one of the best airflow systems in pod vaping.
Controls
An important feature is the OLED screen on the side of the device. If it looks familiar, that’s because the Purge Ally has the same chipset as the Orchid Pod Vape! Because of its straightforward user interface, the screen is a breeze to navigate. You’ll see information like remaining battery life, the amount of time you’ve been continuously vaping, and wattage.
The firing button is on one side of the screen, while on the other side, you have the up and down adjustment buttons. To turn on the device, press the firing button five times.
What control modes does the Purge Ally have?
When you press the firing button three times, the menu shows you three control modes that you can choose from: Variable Wattage (5 to 30 W), Variable Voltage (3.0 to 4.8 W), and Temperature Control (300-500 degrees). You can tweak all of these variables to have the best vaping experience possible.

How long does it take to charge the Purge Ally?
Charging is very fast. It takes less than an hour or around 45 minutes for the Purge Ally to go from empty to fully charged.

What coil does the Purge Ally have?
What’s behind the strong flavour delivered by the Purge Ally is its 0.8-ohm mesh coil. The coil isn’t replaceable, so if you need to change it, you have to switch to another pod.
How does the coil affect the Purge Ally’s performance?
The Purge Ally’s mesh coil heightens performance because of the increase in surface area. Mesh coils can absorb more e-liquid all at once, which makes the resulting flavour potent. At the same time, heat is distributed better for a more even taste, and the coil lasts longer because there’s less strain on it. All of these also increase vapour production.
E-Liquids
Which e-liquids can I use with the Purge Ally?
The Purge Ally’s mesh coil produces the best flavour with freebase e-liquids, but it also works with nic salts. You can more or less vape with both and get an amazing experience. After all, you have full control over several settings, such as the temperature, wattage, voltage, and airflow.
